I began Animal Farm by George Orwell today. My English teacher is forcing us to read it. I’ve read the first chapter and frankly, I’m not very impressed. I like the idea of comparing the people of Russia to farm animals, but I’m just not enjoying the book. I hope that it becomes more interesting, seeing as how I know a lot about the Russian Revolution.
We started Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare in English class last week. We’ve read Act I and… I can’t understand a bit of it. I’m sure I could, if I tried, but I’m not a Shakespeare lover. We’ll see how that goes…
